Me: But where in the south? It's a big place.

Coworker: Close to Hong Kong.


Ok. So I go home and look up what's close to Hong Kong in China. Answer: Shenzhen. K, see, that would have meant way more to me than "close to Hong Kong." He must think Canadians are totally ignorant.
